My first quilt and first blog post!

Today I am entering into the world of blogging.  I am excited to have a space to use as my creative journal, and to share my projects with like-minded folks who also love fabric and sewing. 

I began sewing a few years ago after seeing a rag quilt that was gifted to my niece.  It used super soft and bright flannel.  I had no interest in sewing before, but this looked like a simple project that I could handle.

Suddenly I NEEDED to buy a sewing machine and make a rag quilt for my daughter who was 6 months old at the time.   I’ve been hooked ever since.
